Marketing Assistant

General Responsibility Statement
Provide support to facilitate the timely execution of all sales and marketing functions by assisting in their planning and implementation.

Essential Job Responsibilities
The essential job responsibilities consist of the following:

1. Sales & Marketing Support
a. Send out marketing collateral and literature as requested and manage correspondence with the individual making the requires.
b. Manage inventory of marketing materials and reordering materials as needed.
c. Manage vendor communications for printing, customization, or any other sales/marketing projects.
d. Print and deliver labels developed in house to the production team, ensuring that they are accurate and up to date.
e. Organize and prepare materials for customers, tradeshows, etc.
f. Print, fold, and cut as needed any marketing materials developed in-house.
g. Respond, log, and forward customer inquiries to the sales team in aid of Customer Service department.

2. Tradeshow Coordinator
a. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams and event organizers to define the strategy and event requirements.
b. Complete or renew applications/contracts for all tradeshows attended by the team.
c. Track payments for event participation and ensure all are paid in accordance with deadlines.
d. Coordinate rental/purchase of any materials/items requested by the team for events.
e. Attend tradeshows and work the booth.
f. Setup/tear down trade show displays.
g. Speak with current and potential customers about products.
h. Build relationships with customers, show organizers, other vendors at tradeshows.

3. Other Duties
a. This position shall support its manager and shall ensure that all department members are cross trained on the position responsibilities.
b. Willing to receive input and direction from all members of the Executive team.

Education, Reasoning Ability & Experience
High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing or related field preferred.
1-2 years of general office/business experience preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Suite of Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Communication and Language Skills
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Critical thinking and problem solving.

Travel Requirements
This position does require some overnight travel, estimated about 25% over the course of a year.

Physical Demands
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Required to sit and use computer, handle paperwork, also to stand for extended periods of time and use hands and fingers to grasp and hold objects, tools and/or controls, likewise reach with arms and hands. The employee is also, at times, exposed to fumes and or airborne particulates.
