Marketing Specialist

General Responsibility

The Marketing Specialist helps create, facilitate, and monitor marketing efforts across Van Beek company sales and marketing initiatives.

Essential Job Responsibilities

1. Marketing
a. Aid in the development and implementation for all marketing programs involving distributor participation.
b. Manage day to day programs and policies implemented with our sales and marketing business partners.
c. Assist in the coordination of company participation in various promotional events.
d. Help organize marketing services to provide maximum assistance and support all VBNS sales representation.
e. Coordinate the preparation, indexing distribution and maintenance of corporate, sales, and training collateral.
f. Help plan and support PR programs to promote product and company presence in various target marketplaces.

2. Marketing Administration
a. Work with Marketing Manager to help develop program and project budgets and help with within set tolerances.
b. Support new market or new business development when appropriate.
c. Build and maintain working relationships with media, distribution, and other key business partner representatives.

3. Other Duties
a. Work with Marketing Manager to help develop programs and project budgets and help with within set tolerances.
b. Willing to receive input and direction from all members of the Executive team.

1. Education, Reasoning Ability & Experience
a. A bachelor’s in business or marketing preferred.
b. 1 to 2 years of project management, general business and marketing preferred.
c. Experience working with Apple products
d. Ability to execute a plan and promote healthy accountability.

2. Communication and Language Skills
a. Excellent verbal and written English skills
b. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Travel & Other Requirements
This position may require overnight travel to assist with tradeshows or other company marketing events.

Physical Demands
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Required to sit and use computer, handle paperwork, also to stand and use hands and fingers to grasp and hold objects, tools and/or controls, likewise reach with arms and hands. The employee is also, at times, exposed to fumes and or airborne particulates.
