Brand Technical Support Specialist

The Brand Technical Support Specialist drives awareness by collaborating with the R&D and marketing teams to promote Van Beek brand recognition within concentrated strategic marketplaces. The primary functions of this role will include: collecting data, drafting copy, and creating various forms of educational marketing tools that help build the Van Beek brand and tell our unique story.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Meet with technical advisors, nutritionists, R&D scientists, and product developers to gather information on various products or processes in order to draft copy for marketing efforts.
Write and edit technical documents to include: reference manuals, product manuals, procedural documentation such as user guides and manuals.
Ability to edit and proofread work of colleagues.
The ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram Communication and Language skills.
Critical thinking and logical reasoning skills, including problem solving, troubleshooting and decision making.
Ability to present complex data in clear, concise text.
Able to develop strategies and tactics that communicate the Van Beek product lines across multiple platforms in an effort to drive increased customer traffic.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
Skilled at interpreting marketing campaign performance metrics in order to gain insight and assess against corporate goals.
Ability to experiment with a variety of acquisition channels – content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis, and much more in an effort to increase customer awareness.
Ability to collaborate with managers, creative teams, and directors.
Research product data to fully understand product for technical writing.

Assess and transition copy for the audience receiving the technical and procedural documentation; adjusts tone and technical terms to ensure understanding.
Creates or works with graphic designers to create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding a product or process.
Possesses a highly creative and imaginative approach to branding and marketing that can be applied to common sense business practices.
Create marketing materials, infographics and other media for marketing projects, social media, and website collaboration.
Able to collect icons, photographs, video and other components in order to develop marketing tools for corporate needs.
Consult with marketing team to design marketing tools that adhere to our trade mark and branding guidelines. Able to contribute to new guidelines.
Eager to brainstorm new ideas and strategies individually and in a team environment.
Collaborate with marketing team to determine the type of publication that will best serve the project requirements.
Contribute to the production of valuable and engaging product content for corporate the website, literature, packaging, labeling, etc., in order to attract and convert target groups.

Ability to work without direct supervision and effectively manage tasks and time.
Able to research and track brand performance and customer feedback for continual process improvement.
Experience with supervising brand campaigns to ensure brand consistency.

Key coursework: E-marketing, advertising & communications, marketing strategy and customer relationship management.
Key skills include: adobe photoshop, MS project, Microsoft Office Suite, Dreamweaver or related software.
Bachelor degree in Marketing or Technical Writing required. Or a minimum of 4 years related experience with technical writing, marketing and brand development. Education in agriculture or animal science a plus. Will consider other technical science and creative arts degrees with experience.
Expert user of Microsoft Publisher, PowerPoint, Access, and Photoshop. Proficient user of other Microsoft office tools including Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Indesign or comparable software, WordPress, Google Analytics. Others include: Windows movie maker, Asana, Jira, etc.
This position typically requires 25% overnight travel. Additional travel may be required depending on business necessity.
Required to sit and use computer, handle paper work, also to stand and use hands and fingers to grasp and hold objects, tools and/or controls, likewise reach with arms and hands. May be asked to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds if participating at tradeshows.
