Ron Van Beek didn’t just found Van Beek Natural Science – he built a philosophy. One rooted in challenging conventional thinking, thinking in systems, and advancing animal health through nutrition and real-world insight. Today, he serves in a strategic advisory role, focused on sharing knowledge and shaping the future of the industry. His influence remains at the core of everything we do.
Ron Van Beek began his career as a sales representative at Fandsco, building a foundation in feed additives and developing a deep understanding of producer needs.
Launched a natural meat venture—an early entrepreneurial step that strengthened his expertise in product distribution and market fit.
Founded Van Beek Scientific, marking the beginning of in-house product development and a growing focus on pectin based solutions, probiotics, enzymes, and vitamins. Began sourcing and importing products from a diversified network of global partners.
Established a permanent operational base with construction of the company's main facility following earlier rebuilding efforts. Expanded the office space to recapture manufacturing space and expand marketing and sales teams.
Alex Van Beek, son of founder Ron Van Beek, joined the company as a Production Associate and worked his way up through the business. He helped build the Companion Animal Division and now serves as Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Business Development.
Founded Van Beek Nutrition, expanding ownership, innovation, and proprietary product development, including early advancements for precision formulations in livestock diets.
Launched the companion animal division and introduced DiaGel.
Unified multiple entities to form Van Beek Natural Science—creating a more integrated, scalable business with expanded operational capabilities.
Continued making advancements and upgrades to the Van Beek Nutrition faculty for supporting the continued growth.
Michele Van Beek, wife of founder Ron Van Beek, joined the company and helped strengthen compliance, structure, and internal operations. Her leadership supported continued growth while helping preserve the values and foundation on which the company was built.
Achieved full ownership of Van Beek Nutrition and Thermocal Minerals of Idaho, creating a new direction that opened new markets and allowed for accelerated growth.
Expanded rapidly in companion animal health, entering e-commerce, distribution, and retail channels to meet increasing demand.
A strategic partnership was established as Algostream took ownership of company assets, marking a transition of ownership and the beginning of a new era, honoring the legacy and embracing the future.
